January 2022

January saw a lot of new students starting - some for the first time and others who made a resolution to pick it back up again! It's been great to see such a large range of ages and abilities, definitely keeps me on my toes!

Some songs we've been learning in the last few weeks: 'Sultans of Swing' by Dire Straits - great for practicing small phrases and learning licks for soloing; 'I See Fire' by Ed Sheeran - a really nice acoustic piece that shows us techniques like hammer-ons and pull-offs.

I'm really looking forward to see how far everyone will be progressing in 2022.
